US 89 Panguitch

We've spent a lot of time in Panguitch.  The community values its US 89 Heritage.
Much of this view remains the same today as it was "back when".
This Panguitch restaurant is still in use but the cars have changed.  We did a writeup on it here:

The Heart of The Panguitch Business District remains largely intact from its early US 89 heydays. We find one thing very interesting in the top photo--a Dixie National Forest sign (seen beside right light pole on the right side of view). Since visitation back then didn't justify a Visitor Center, the Powell Ranger District Offices must have been located right downtown.
In the Panguich view above, the 89 Lodge is perhaps most interesting.  The building still stands and hasn't yet been meaningful repurposed. Overnight visitors could actually drive their vehicles into a mini parking garage at the 89 Lodge.  It must have been a sweet place to stay.
